Shelagh Brown
Shelagh Brown is a clinical herbalist, ethnobotanist, medical historian, writer, poet, storyteller, cultural worker and healing centered engagement practitioner who infuses traditional ecological wisdom with modern science. Shelagh filters all her work through an intersectional, abolitionist, Black, womanist, queer, disabled and fat liberation centered lens. Shelagh holds a BS in Herbal Sciences and a MS in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Bastyr University and a MA in Social Justice and Community Organizing from Prescott College and is a lifelong naturalist and earth based researcher. Shelagh is the founder of Decolonizing Healthcare, the Psychedelic Wellness Collective for Black and brown folks and is the Health & Wellness Director at Creative Justice.
Shelagh offers unique custom healing sessions and clinical herbal consults rooted in traditional East Asian medicine and African disaporic medical and healing traditions, combining aroma acupoint, cranio sacral, qi gong, yoga therapy, a variety of meditation practices and somatic therapies to create balance in the bodies systems, ease stress, calm the mind and reduce pain.
